Praise Jah
The name “Jah” is one of God’s names found written only once in the original King James Version of the Holy bible found in Psalm 68:4.
I’ve traveled all over the western United States attending various churches from Washington state, to Minnesota, to Colorado, to California, and to Utah. It was once taught to me at a Sunday school in a Berean church in North Seattle in 2008 that the original King James Version of the scripture is the only translation of the Holy bible inspired by the Holy Spirit.
I found this very helpful in increasing my faith as when I originally caught the Holy Ghost I was shortly thereafter diagnosed with a chemical imbalance also known as manic-depression or bi-polar disorder. It was a very impactful time for me in March of 1991 as I ran through the ice and snow of a Minnesota winter with no shoes and socks, speaking in tongues and screaming rock Jah!
When my family called the police it led to my first mental hospital stay. I was concerned after my stay that what I was screaming meant something good, as far as the word “Jah” went. As it was a highly powerful spiritual experience and the only other places I had heard the name was from music or other people, I researched the word and found out it was one of God’s names. Years later when I was reading the entire bible from cover to cover in 2006 and 2007 I was relieved to find it in my original King James Version text as I said found in Psalm 68:4. An interesting observation is that in Spanish translations you’ll find the name Jah written more than once. So this is an explanation for the inspiration of my art piece message “Praise Jah”.
